Let Us Pray
Introduction
Prayer is the heartbeat of the Church’s life, a sacred rhythm that unites believers across time and space in communion with God. The following prayers were composed and compiled for the spiritual enrichment of the faithful within the Charismatic Old Catholic Church in Africa, yet their depth and beauty speak to all who seek renewal in faith.
This collection includes “The Litany,” “The Prayer for Renewal,” and “The Prayer of the Hour.”
Each serves a unique purpose: the Litany as a confession of faith and plea for divine mercy, the Prayer for Renewal as an invocation of the Holy Spirit’s power in our time, and the Prayer of the Hour as a daily reminder to sanctify time itself through worship.
These prayers were written by Bishop Gabriel Obiano, inspired by the apostolic tradition and the living faith of the Church. They are suitable for both personal devotion and communal use, adaptable across Old Catholic jurisdictions and open to any Christian community that desires to deepen its life of prayer.
As you pray, may your heart be lifted to God.
May these words stir faith, repentance, and renewal in every soul that recites them—so that, in every hour, we might remember that God is near, and that His Spirit renews the face of the earth.
